We're not huge fans of cruising, but we do love Silversea Cruises. They're a refreshing, intimate, upscale departure from a mega ship filled with three thousand vacation-goers all lined up at the midnight buffet.
This week, Silversea Expeditions launched their third expedition ship, Silver Discoverer with a Christening ceremony in Singapore. The small vessel - which was previously in service - was completely refurbished and will accommodate up to 120 guests in 62 ocean-view suites, featuring spacious bathrooms and select balconies and a three dining areas. The ship is lined up to explore some of the most remote corners of the Pacific Ocean with stops in places like Australia, Indonesia, Tahiti and Taiwan.
Aboard, guests will also enjoy a series of destination lectures, photo presentations, and excursions led by industry experts such as marine biologists, geologists and anthropologists... perfect for nerds on water! Take that, conga line instructors!
