Call it a twisted role reversal.
Visitors to the Orana Wildlife Park in New Zealand can choose to be caged in and on display for huge lions.
A unique tour allows an intimate group of guests to board a caged truck for an eye-to-eye encounter with these cats. During the ride, keepers give an informational overview of the fascinating species as the giant kitty cats munch on meat thru bars all around.
The park has countless other sightseeing and educational programs featuring wild animals that aren’t as… well, terrifying. Spread over 80 acres, the reserve is home to over 400 exotic animals from 70 different species, all surrounded by rare fauna.
Orana Wildlife Park is located roughly 20 minutes from the Christchurch city center.
