Airbus recently won a patent in the United States that allows the aircraft maker giant to move forward with the design of the Concorde's big, big baby.
The concept, currently in development, calls for a jet capable of transporting up to 20 passengers across the globe at more than four times the speed of sound. That means an easily doable trip from Tokyo to L.A. in about three hours, or New York to London in less than two... Enough for a door knob shopping day trip (cue AbFab reference).
The timing? TBC, of course. So fasten your seat belts and wait on the tarmac... For a while.
